As esbe plastic GmbH, we will also be taking part in the ProSweets trade fair in Cologne in 2025, which as usual will be held in conjunction with the international confectionery trade fair ISM. In an important step towards sustainability, we can now cover a considerable proportion of our own energy requirements. Thanks to the successful cooperation with Stadtwerke Dinkelsbühl and the city council, the installation of a system on our high-bay warehouse was realised.

The construction is an active contribution to climate protection and helps us to reduce our CO2 footprint. We would like to thank our partners for the smooth cooperation and are delighted to have taken another step towards an environmentally friendly energy supply.

This year, we from esbe plastic GmbH were once again represented at FACHPACK in Nuremberg, the central trade fair for the packaging industry. As a long-standing participant, we took the opportunity to engage in intensive dialogue with experts and users about current opportunities and challenges in the field of plastic packaging. The trade fair once again offered us an ideal platform for constructive discussions and forward-looking innovations. We would like to thank you for the inspiring dialogue and are already looking forward to FACHPACK 2025, where we will be back again.

To celebrate the company's 70th anniversary, the management and works council organised a cheerful company party. In perfect weather, the employees were able to show their families the workplace and the day-to-day operations. The guests were well catered for in a relaxed atmosphere.

A big thank you goes to all employees and participants for a successful party that celebrated the team spirit and community of the company.

From 1 January 2024, the new Single-Use Plastics Fund Act (EWKFondsG) will come into force, which provides for additional fees for certain single-use plastics. This affects food containers as well as bag and film packaging, among other things. The question now arises as to who has to pay the fees for single-use plastic packaging - us as manufacturers or our customers. According to the definition, the producers of single-use plastic products are liable to pay for food containers, while the fillers of bags and film packaging who place the products on the market for the first time are liable.

Construction work to expand our warehouse capacity began in spring 2022. The project was successfully completed after a construction period of just four months.

The construction serves to ensure a smooth supply and enables us to continue to guarantee short delivery times. With this expansion, we are ideally equipped to continue responding efficiently and reliably to our customers' needs in the future.
