The go-ahead for the photovoltaic system was officially given in January 2025. Photovoltaic systems were installed on the roofs of three buildings. This is set to deliver up to 784 kilowatts of power, making it one of the larger systems in Dinkelsbühl. SWDplus, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Dinkelsbühl, is responsible for this. A total of 1804 modules were installed on an area of 3500 square metres. Of the electricity generated on the roofs, 80 % will flow into the company's operations and 20 % into the grid. When the symbolic start button was pressed, all those involved emphasised the smooth cooperation with the municipal utilities and the subsidiary SWDplus.
